A progressive thinking industry collaboration is thrilled to announce the launch of “Alive By Night,” a vibrant and eye-catching new label series conceptualised and designed to showcase the possibilities and electrifying benefits of black-light reactive foiled finishes for labels and packaging.
Inspired by neo-punk and retro aesthetics, the project has been brought to life by print industry experts, Foilco, Dreyer Kliche, Graphic Brands and Reflex Labels Plus. The series aims to captivate and inspire the creative industry to look beyond their current design boundaries and explore more creative ideas and finishes.
Alive By Night consists of five rebellious labels that perfectly appeal to the tastes of today’s young, adventurous consumers and the demands of disruptive brands – those who want to stand out from the crowd and shine brightest, even in the dark.
“We are confident that this new label series will inspire those brands willing to embrace their individuality and a new type of consumers. The team at Foilco have helped us identify new and exciting print finishes to share with our clients, and this UV discovery is a game-changer for the creative industry.
Graphic Brands are proud to be at the forefront of innovative design for our clients, and our commitment to creativity and quality is evident in every aspect of “Alive By Night,”. All elements have been designed in-house, from the creation of the labels to the carefully selected finishes to the black sprayed gin bottle and its ‘feature capsule’.
We have already seen considerable interest in ‘Alive By Night’ from brands looking to connect with a more experimental audience. These labels offer a new way to engage with consumers and create a memorable brand experience.”Terry Cole, Creative Director – Graphic Brands.
Four of Foilco’s fluorescent foils (Club Pink, House Orange, Smiley Yellow, Trance Green) and one clear UV foil (Clubbers Transparent) have been included in the project, all boasting exceptionally vibrant qualities under daylight and blacklight.
When exposed to UV light, the foils emit an incredible glow that is impossible to ignore, making them perfect for use in nightclubs, bars, and other venues where the lights are low and the energy is high.
“Our fluorescents are bright during the day, but at night, under blacklight, they come alive. Perfect for those unafraid to take risks and wanting unforgettable consumer experiences in the night trade.
Alive By Night is the brainchild of both Terry and I as we continued to seek out new ways to stop consumers in their tracks. These foils are unlike anything else on the market today, the first time someone has used them in this space for their reactive qualities.
With ‘Alive By Night,’ we’re giving brands that operate in both the night and day trades the chance to breathe new life into their designs. Whether for an ongoing range or a limited edition run, using these foils across multiple industries sets products apart from competition and starts conversations.”Jaime Evans, Marketing Manager – Foilco
Produced by label experts Reflex Label Plus (part of the wider Reflex Group) and using tooling from Europe’s leading die maker, Dreyer Kliche, the project demonstrates a disruptive, new print finish option for brands in the drinks industry.
“Alive By Night” is both visually striking and incredibly durable. The labels are designed to withstand plenty of handling, maintaining their bold and vibrant look for as long as possible, meaning that irrespective of the busy handling demands of a bar, consumers can still enjoy seeing their favourite spirits without worrying about the label fading or peeling over time. The labels for Alive By Night have been produced on our Nilpeter FA22 12 colour flexo-combination press with inline Pantech Rhino stamping unit.”Shaun Hanson, Keighley Site Manager – Reflex Labels Plus.
Brands no longer just sell products; they sell experiences, and Alive By Night brings a new dimension to the world of packaging and label design.
We are collectively proud to work alongside other companies focused on the future and those who continue to push exciting creative print applications and techniques.
