Pros of Copper


Copper is great for foil embossing and microstructures and it also has good heat transfer characteristics. Copper can also be polished/restored without losing the sharpness of the image.

Cons of Copper


However, copper is more expensive to manufacture than magnesium and is more brittle than brass. Copper is also the least environmentally friendly die material.
